ALSACAT-2000-00-00-DUPPINGHEIM-1
A man from Duppigheim in the Bas-Rhin reported what he saw there in the spring of the year 2000 when he was 13:
As he entered the living room where his mother was watching television, he noticed that on the wall to his left was the projection of a relatively bright red glow, at least approximately the power of a conventional flashlight.
So he had turned his head to the right, since the light seemed to come from there, towards the first of the two French windows when entering the room. He first thought he was seeing some kind of decoration that would have been put up on the house of his neighbor and aunt opposite, the house being on the other side of the street.
He explained that it looked like the two torches that were placed at the entrance of castles, except that the flames, not dazzling, were red. But at the time, he was four meters from the French window, and that was just a casual observation.
Intrigued, he walked towards the glow, and it was while moving that he realized a few key points: first, there were no wooden rods or anything else under the "flames", "it was like two eyes", but above all, he was then able to assess the distance: it was not at all on the other side of the street, but at 1 or 2 meters from the window.
When he found himself about 2 meters from this French window, in the blink of an eye, "and without this thing having made any move", it suddenly disappeared.
He estimated that the duration of this sighting was well over five seconds, about ten seconds, or between 8 and 15 seconds. He thinks the thing would have been about 1.45 meters or 1.50 meters high from the position of what would have been the eyes. But since the body of this thing was completely invisible, it cannot be excluded, for example, that it was on its knees.
He spontaneously assured this could not have been a car, nor the reflection of taillights, given the height of the French window and the position of the street. He specified that there had been no passing of car.
He specifies that since he was only 13 at the time, he did not think of writing down the exact date, nor the time, that he had had very good visibility, despite the window and the night, the street being lit. He had been surprised at first, then thinking about it, scared, because for him it was nothing conventional.
The phenomenon had not emitted any noise. He wore astigmatism glasses for his right eye but has 10/10 in his left eye.
His mother hadn't seen anything because the back of the sofa would have prevented it, and she was looking towards the TV set anyway.

[Ref. gei1:] GROUPE D'ETUDES ET D'INFORMATIONS SUR LES PHENOMENES AEROSPATIAUX NON IDENTIFIES (G.E.I.P.A.N.):
Night furtive observation of a motionless shape reflecting on an inner wall; instant disappearance: lack of information.
Testimony of an observation made in the spring of 2000 (without date day, month, time: arbitrary date of 01/05/2000) and collected in 2008.
One evening of spring 2000 a 13-year-old teenager observes a red light on the living room wall which seems to come from outside. The witness then sees for a few seconds behind a window a motionless shape that instantly disappears. Only one testimony is collected.
This is a testimony not exploitable by the Geipan. Indeed, the witness does not describe a UAP (aerospace phenomenon) but one or more lights on the ground, or on a wall, without the possibility of making a link with a section because no UAP is described. The whole reported 8 or 9 years later, without precise date.
Geipan classifies this case in C: lack of information.

GROUP OF STUDIES AND INFORMATION ON NON-IDENTIFIED AEROSPATIAL PHENOMENA
Responsible: J. Patenet geipan@cnes.fr
As part of the expertise activity of unidentified aerospace phenomena of the CNES, the Geipan works to collect, analyze and study rigorously the testimonies collected during UFO observations, while guaranteeing witnesses the level of discretion they wish.
The rigor of the scientific approach requires us to bring together the most specific, the most complete and the most detailed information as possible, with a minimum of intermediaries. This means that the best information document is that which is freely written by the witness himself. This is why we have established the attached questionnaire so that the witness can fill it independently.
This questionnaire begins with a free narration of observation and continues with a list of more specific questions. It is important to start by freely writing all the memories preserved during the observation and this, before reading the questionnaire. Then, it will be necessary to fill it as completely as possible (you can however skip the questions you could not or would not want to answer). It may be that the questionnaire remained you memories or inspired by the comments. We then invite you to fill in the final pages provided for this purpose.
You will send the questionnaire back to us, after having filled it, it will then be studied with the other documents dealing with the same phenomenon. When the work is completed, we will let you know the conclusions that we may have drawn.
We thank you in advance for the contribution you make to our work.

This page and the following are intended to be used to write independently, the narration of your observation.
You are entirely free of the form, substance and duration of your story (you can add additional pages if necessary).
However, if you consider you have already made such a story in writing (in an earlier correspondence, for example), report it and immediately pass the questionnaire.
Hello, my name is [-], I'm from Duppigheim in the Bas-Rhin, and here is a thing that I saw during the spring of the year 2000:
While I entered the living room where my mother was watching television, I noticed that on the wall that was on my left was the projection of a relatively lively red glow, at least approximately the power of a conventional flashlight. So I turned my head to the right, since the light seemed to come from there, towards the first French window when entering the room (there are two in all). I thought at first that what I saw then was a kind of decoration that would have been put in place on my neighbor's house and aunt opposite, Mrs [], whose house was on the other side of the street. This looked like the two torches that were placed at the entrance to the castles, except that the flames were red. But at that time, I was four meters from the French window, and this was just a brief sighting. So intrigued I went to the glow. And it is by moving that I realized a few key factors: first of all, there was no wooden rod or anything under the "flames", but above all, I could evaluate the distance. This was absolutely not on the other side of the street, but 1 or 2 meters from the window! And when I found myself about 2 meters from this French window, in the blink of an eye, and without this thing having had a single movement, it had disappeared!
Here is what I could see in the year 2000, for much more than five seconds, about ten. As of the size of this thing, I would give it 1m45 or 1m50 in view of the position of his eyes. But as the body of this thing was completely invisible, who knows if this creature was not on its knees...
something else: this could neither be a car nor the reflection of rear lights given the height of the window holder and the position of the street...

Note: The pages 3, 4 and 5 planned for a possible continuation of the narration are empty.

We ask you to provide us with a certain number of information on the circumstances and content of your observation, by answering the following questionnaire.
It is for you to account for what you have personally did, seen, heard, felt, felt, etc..., regardless of what other people (having or not participated in the same observa could tell you or suggest you, at that time or afterwards.
If some questions seem not adequate or upset you for one reason or another, you may of course skip them. In any case, the CNES undertakes to respect the level of discretion you wish.

Non-rainy weather anyway, but I don't think there have been clouds, but as it happened at night, I'm not 100% sure.
It was in the plain, in my village, in front of my house, and here is the address:
[-] 67 120 DUPPIGHEIM.
There are telephone and/or television cables that run along the street and connect the houses between them, but are more in height than that where I have observed the phenomenon.

Very good visibility. Despite the window and the night (lighted street).
no. And no car!
No noise, apart from my mother's TV.

I observed from behind a window.
I wore glasses for astigmata (a lazy eye, the right in this case, but I have 10/10 on the left!)
That, I don't remember ...
This part of the questionnaire aims to help better understand the circumstances in which the observation was made, the state of preparation or preparation, of the witness vis-à-vis his observation.

BEP of architecture and housing techniques (TAH) and BAC Pro Building Studies et Economy (BEE). And I got these two diplomas.
I entered alone in the room where my mother was, but she saw nothing and could not because the sofa file prevented it, and she was watching TV...
Curiosity: I said to myself "What is that?", but later I was afraid, when it was finished and I analyzed it and found that what I had seen was nothing conventional.
As I said in the narration, I first believed in a decoration with a dubious taste, but by moving, I was able to assess the distance and see a very close proximity.

I thought that possible like I believe in God. No precise opinion on the subject.
no.
I first told my mother. She told me that it had to be a cat or a car ... basically, she didn't really believe me.

That behind the 2 red lights, I saw the house (which was really there), of my aunty Jeanne!
I often bike, I like to watch football games... but I read very little...
not at all!
oh my, I never asked myself these kinds of questions!

Some phenomena are complex and give rise to the observation of several visible forms, either simultaneously or successively. Visible forms can be either of the same type or different types. The questionnaire is designed in order to describe separately and in detail each type of visible form, to indicate how many visible forms of each type have been observed, then to describe the relative developments in time and space of these forms.
Each type of visible form must therefore be described in detail as if it were alone. In particular, if there is a change of appearance, each phase of the change will first be described independently of those who follow or preceding.
