ALSACAT-1993-00-00-HAUTRHIN-1
Roger, from the Haut-Rhin, reported about 10 years after the facts dated about 1993 that when he was on his way home at about 11 p.m. after visiting his parents accompanied of his 18-month-old son, he saw a light above the trees in front of him. As it seemed to look as if it was the moon, he did not pay attention at this time.
But about 2 kilometers further, this light of white-yellow color was on his left and it started to intrigue him.
He drove on and thought that the light was following him. A few hundred meters further, he realized that it really was following, always to the right. Intrigued, he decided to stop on the road side. The light stopped too, not moving anymore.
It did not produce any sound and no whistling sound despite its size that seemed important. He could not estimate the distance. There was no light beam like a projector would produce. "It looked like it was scrutinizing me," he said.
Then there was nothing anymore, it was gone in a split second, still in complete silence, though it must have been pretty close.
Two or three days before, his wife and he observed strange balls of light from their windows. They long observed a strange ballet of balls of light that seemed to play and were pursued by fighter aircraft that could be seen as they passed in front of the balls of light. He thinks it had to take place about twenty kilometers from their window.

10 years ago (+ or -1993) at 11:00 p.m. on my way home after going to visit my parents accompanied my son who was eighteen months old, I paid no attention to this light above the trees in front of me. One would have thought it was the moon.
But about two kilometers away, this light of yellow-white color was on my left and it started to intrigue me. I continued to drive and I felt that it was following me. A few hundred meters further, I realized it was really following me, always on my right. Intrigued, I decided to stop on the roadside. The light was there and stopped just like me. It did not move. Not a sound or a whistling sound despite its size that seemed important. I could not judge the distance. There was no light beam like a projector would produce. It looked like it was scrutinizing me. Then nothing, disappeared in a split second, still without noise; it was complete silence. Yet it had to be close enough.
It must be said that two or three days before, my wife and I have seen strange balls of light from our window. We observed for a long time these strange balls of light that (it looked like a game) were pursued by jet fighters. You could see them when they passed the lights balls. It must have been about twenty kilometers from our window.
Roger (Haut-Rhin - France)
Neglecting the apparent instantaneous disappearance of the stopped UFO, this is reminiscent of the classic confusion of the moon pursuing the car, seeming to stop when the car stops. Should we ignore the disappearance? I do not know.
It might therefore have been useful to specify an exact date and place, which would have allowed to inform or reinforce that idea.
The preceding observation seems pretty clear, probably a military drill with planes and flares.
Roger indicates he is from the Haut-Rhin, but it is not obvious that the observations took place in that department.
Probable military drill, and possible moon.
