ALSACAT-1977-00-00-STRASBOURG-1
The Swiss ufology group GREPI publishes on their website the stories of their readers, and Martine, of Strasbourg, recounted her experience of 1977 or 1978.
She observed the sky and noticed a star bigger than the others and of yellow color. She observed for several hours, and suddenly it began to move. She thought it was a plane passing through the middle of the star, but saw that it wasn't that.
The thing was moving toward her, she noticed green and red lights. She tried to concentrate to the maximum to try to see something, she would "have given anything at that moment to have a 'flash' of light for a seconds or so."
She nevertheless observed that the "thing" was like a platform, it certainly was not a plane because it made no sound as it moved close enough.
She saw that people in the street looked up to the sky. "Of course they did not observe the star like I did, but they were intrigued, in my opinion, by the fact that they saw the light fly quite close with NO NOISE. I watched as long as I could, I went to the other side of my house. And the thing was gone..."
She told her mother who did not believe and gently mocked her. Her two sisters were watching TV and did not even want to be disturbed. She concludes: "If your family does not believe you, then what about the other people? That day, I realized that all we can do when we observe something is to observe and keep it to yourself..."

[Ref. gri1:] WITNESS REPORT TO THE G.R.E.P.I. WEBSITE:
This happened in 1977 or 1978.
I watched the sky and I noticed a star bigger than the others and yellow. I watched it for several hours and suddenly it began to move. I thought it was a plane going through the axis of that star, but I immediately saw that the latter was moving. It was heading in my direction. I noticed green and red lights. I tried to concentrate to the maximum to try to see something. I would have given anything at that moment to have a "flash" of light for a few seconds or at least one second. I nevertheless observed that the "thing" resembled a platform. For me it was definitely not a plane because the craft was making NO NOISE although it moved close enough.
I could see that people in the street looked up to the heaven. Of course they had not observed the star like I did, but they were intrigued, in my opinion, by the fact that they saw the light fly quite close and without ANY NOISE. I observed as long as I could, I went to the other side of my house. And the thing disappeared...
I immediately talked about it to my mom, who, of course, did not believe me and had even tended to make "slightly" fun of me. My two sisters were watching a show on the television and they did not even want me bothering them! ... If your own family does not believe you, then what about the others?
That day, I realized that whatever we can do when we observe something is to observe it and keep it to yourself...
Martine (Strasbourg - France)
Is this the heavily distorted memory of the passing of an airliner seen when the witness was a child? The green and red light would suggest it. But the report is too vague to conclude anything for sure. Day, night? Elevation? Duration? Exact place and date? - It is not even obvious that it occurred in Alsace.
Also, I do not conceive that she had watched what looked like a big yellow star for "several hours".
Insufficient data, possible airliner.
