ALSACAT:

ALSACAT is my comprehensive catalog of UFO sighting reports in Alsace, the region is the North-East of France, whether they are "explained" or "unexplained".

The ALSACAT catalog is made of case files with a case number, summary, quantitative information (date, location, number of witnesses...), classifications, all sources mentioning the case with their references, a discussion of the case in order to evaluate its causes, and a history of the changes made to the file. A general index and thematic sub-catalogs give access to these Alsatian case files.

Summary:

In 2001, I was a beginner in ufology, and had among my first articles published a few cases summaries of sightings in my area to answer the quesion I asked myself: are UFOs seen in my area too?

I wrote that in August 1975, at 03:30 p.m. in Kertzfeld, there was a close encounter of the first kind between several witnesses and a metallic disc during 10 minutes.

I found no trace of a source, unfortunately. I probably got the story from a local ufologist...

The case was also liste, with no details at all, on another website at the time.
