ALSACAT:

ALSACAT is my comprehensive catalog of UFO sighting reports in Alsace, the region is the North-East of France, whether they are "explained" or "unexplained".

The ALSACAT catalog is made of case files with a case number, summary, quantitative information (date, location, number of witnesses...), classifications, all sources mentioning the case with their references, a discussion of the case in order to evaluate its causes, and a history of the changes made to the file. A general index and thematic sub-catalogs give access to these Alsatian case files.

AUGUST 12, 1974.-

NEUHOF. - (67)

Hour: 08:30 p.m.

Mr. Lucien HOZINGER makes it known that in the same evening and at approximately the same time that Mr. and Mrs, Dollé of GERSTHEIM, he observed luminous balls moving intermittently along the Rhine.

"Dernières Nouvelles d'Alsace" for AUGUST 18, 1974.

Discussion:

Map.

The report is too brief to allow for a well-founded evaluation; its only merit for now is that it serves as a kind of confirmation: people were surprised in Gerstheim, and not far away and seemingly at the same time and independently, someone was also surprised in Neuhof.

Evaluation:

Insufficient information.
