A Miss Carof, UFO witness, and also correspondant for the ufology magazine Lumières Dans La Nuit, communicated to this magazine in 1972 an observation in the 16th district of Paris in the spring of the year 1954 or 1955:
A young pupil of Franklin was in the court of the small college, Louis-David street, when he saw towards the North-East a round, of yellow-white color, with clear contours, as large as a full moon approximately. He initially took it for the sun. He would not have paid more attention to it, but he turned round and saw the true sun shining normally. Flabbergasted, he turned round again, just in time to see the round object who was motionless before, become much more luminous, then dazzling, and then it fled out of sight towards the west.

Luc Chastan indicates that in Paris in 1954 at an unknown hour, "During spring, a pupil of the Franklin college is in the yard when he observes towards the Northeast a white yellow round with clear contours, about as large as the full moon. He thinks of the sun, looks back and then see the real sun. He looks back again and sees the object which was motionless become more luminous, then dazzling which suddenly disapears towards the West.(maybe 1955)".
