Summary:

Two Parisian journalists, Michel Agnelet and Pierre Laforêt, had undertaken at the beginning of October 1954 to show that the "Martians" that some claimed to have seen in the previous weeks, were not Martians.

Dressing in spacesuits, using fireworks, and probably with a car disguised as a "flying saucer", they performed several stagings, some of which were certainly sucessfull - in any case, they seem never to have recognized as journalists.

Their experience was later recounted in the magazine Samedi-Soir for the week of October 23-27, 1954.

According to the title of the article, they would have operated, among other places, in Montauban - but I was unable to find any other information on this matter for the moment.

IT WAS US

By denouncing last week "the great farce of the Martians", we especially wanted to show the part of the individual or collective hallucination in the too many appearances of "extraterrestrial" craft with their pilots on the good ground of France.
