The regional newspaper Le Tarn Libre, of Albi, Tarn, for October 22, 1954, reported that a "red disc" emitting a sharp red trail was seen, and that it it panicked several witnesses.
In the 2000s, local ufologist Didier Gomez listed this case by indicating that it had occurred "in the first weeks" of October 1954, at 9 o'clock, and that this red disk was seen by several witnesses for 9 minutes.

Possible meteor.
Before deciding that it could not have been a meteor, I need to know if the "9 minutes" duration is supported by contemporary source. And I wnder why Didier Gomez did not mention the trail.
