Beginning of November, 1954, Bourganeuf, Creuse:

Reference for this case: Nov-54-Bourganeuf2.
Please cite this reference in any correspondence with me regarding this case.

Summary:

In a catalog of observations in the Creuse published in December 1976 in the magazine INFO-OVNIS, it was noted that in November 1954, at night, in Bourganeuf, a witness on a moped saw in the middle of the road, not far from the Mourne bridge, a headlight emitting a violent glow.

The dazzled witness slowed down as the light remained motionless. But when he approached again, the "headlight" suddenly flew away vertically.

The source is said to be the local newspaper of Bourganeuf Le Chercheur Creusois for Saturday, November 13, 1954.

032 11/../1954, NT BOURGANEUF

Driving on a moped the witness saw, in the middle of the road, not far from the bridge of Mourne, a headlight emitting a violent glow. The dazzled witness slowed down as the light remained motionless. But when he approached again, the "headlight" suddenly flew away vertically.

(LE CHERCHEUR CREUSOIS, Sat. Nov. 13, 1954)

Note: "il" is a mistype for "11", the month of the sighting. This appears so in the magazine because the previous and next cases are also from the month "11". "NT" stands for "night."

Explanations:

Map.

The report is not very detailed; I do not see an obvious trivial explanation. A projector?
