In a section giving news from Tauves, on page 7, the Parisian newspaper intended for Auvergne readers L'Auvergnat de Paris for October 16, 1954, reported that flying saucers were reportedly seen by Mrs. Eudoxie Taravant, from Tyrande, and Mr. Baubier, from Les Croûtes.
