A catalog for the Creuse department compiled using the data of Jean Giraud and Jean Gérard Dohmen, in the ufology magazine INFO-OVNI in 1975, indicated that in October 1954, at 09:00 p.m., in Moutier-Malcard, Mr. Maigret and the inhabitants of the village of "Seiges" saw a luminous disc which for about ten minutes, sometimes went away, sometimes approached, went down, went up again.
The catalog indicated that this comes from the newspapers Le Populaire du Centre for October 20, 1954, and Le Chercheur for October 23, 1954.
