Summary:

In the early 2000s, Francis Gatti, a UFO and paranormal enthusiast, indicated in one of his web pages that at the end of August 1954, Mr. Henri Perret, former aviation officer and commercial manager of the "Burroughs Corporation" had seen in Paris at about 6 p.m., in the blue sky, an unusual gray object in the shape of a cistern leaving an orange-red colored trail at the front. A shield-shaped green light preceded the apparatus by about 50 meters.

TESTIMONY #59

At the end of August 1954 Mr Henri Perret, former aviation officer and commercial executive at the "Burrougs corporation," [sic, Burroughs] sees in Paris towards 18 hour in the blue sky a strange gray object in the shape of a cistern leaving a red orange trail at the front a green luminosity in the shape of a shield precede the machine from approximately 50 meters (see sketch B 63)

A few weeks later in Tananarive Mister Edmond Campagnac [...]

[Ref. lcn1:] LUC CHASTAN:

Luc Chastan indicates in his database that on Paris in August 1954 at the 18:00 "Witness former officer of aviation and commercial executive of the 'Burrougs [sic, Burroughs] corporation' sees in Paris towards 18 hour in the blue sky a strange gray object in the shape of a cistern leaving an orange red trail at the front a green luminosity in the shape of a shield precedes the machine by approximately 50 meters".

Luc Chastan indicates that the source is "CASAR by Gatti Francis ** http://perso.wanadoo.fr/casar".

Explanations:

Map.

The big problem is that I found absolutely no other source than Francis Gatti for this alleged observation. The object is likely "unidentified" or even an extraterrestrial craft, but the credibility of the story is not established at all.
