In the 1990s, ufologist and author Jean Sider indicated that according to an article in the newspaper Le Courrier de l'Ouest, of Angers, for October 7, 1954, at the beginning of that week in the Parthenay area at an unspecified time, a farmer saw an intensely luminous mass which seemed motionless near a large tree.
He called his wife who was also able to observe the phenomenon.
[Ref. jsr1:] JEAN SIDER:
French ufologist and author Jean Sider learned in an article from the newspaper Le Courrier de l'Ouest, of Angers, of October 7, 1954, that at the beginning of that week in the sector of Parthenay at an unknown time, a farmer saw an intensively luminous mass which seemed motionless close to a large tree.
He called his wife who then also observed the phenomenon.
As it is not even possible to check if it ould or could not have been the Moon, the case rests in my mind as with "totally insufficient information."
