Summary:

An article in the regional newspaper Le Journal du Pas-de-Calais et de la Somme for October 10, 1954, told:

Certainly, the flying saucer and Martian stories are starting to spin heads.

One of our good correspondents, Mr. Albert Leroy, from Neuville-sous-Montreuil, great friend of art and nature, talented designer, in his spare time, was these last days in one of our pretty corners of the Boulonnais, looking for a site. He was looking for a suitable place, when suddenly, a brave woman who was hanging the linen in her garden, took a terrified look, taken by fear, fled with all legs hiding behind a hedge.

Our friend wasn't anything Martian, believe it. He is 1.70 meters tall, has a very happy face and a corpulence of average French.

In addition, he only had for craft a sketchbook and a pencil - not flying.

Our designer, who had very peaceful intentions, had to give up asking her for the "geographic" information he needed.

Gosh! He did not want to have the death of this brave woman on his conscience at all...
