In the 1950s, Guy Quincy, a French archivist, compiled a catalog of sightings of "Mysterious Celestial Objects".
He noted in it, without source or details, that "around October 9" 1954, there had been a sighting in "Ligeaud (Charente)", a place that I have not been able to find so far.
[Ref. gqy1:] GUY QUINCY:
about October 9 [, 1954]
[... other case...]
? [=unknown hour]: Ligeaud (Charente)
I found no city, village, hamlet or place, current or of that time, named "Ligeaud", neither in Charente nor elsewhere in France.
I found "Ligaud" in the Lot-et-Garonne department, a location name at a place where there is only one house.
I therefore classify this case, for the time being, totally devoid of information or source, as a non-event.
(These keywords are only to help queries and are not implying anything.)
Ligeaud, Charente, non-event
