A general catalog of the observations of the Gironde by the Bordeaux section of the C.F.R.U. published in the UFO magazine Ouranos, France, New Series #9, in the 4th quarter of 1973, reported that according to the Sud Ouest newspaper for October 7, 1954, there had been an observation at the beginning of October, in any case before the 7th, at 11 p.m., in Cavignac, Gironde:
Mr. and Mrs. Terrieres reportedly saw a luminous disc, motionless, which then "disappeared" at a vertiginous speed towards Laruscade, that is to say towards the northeast.
[Ref. ous1:] "OURANOS" UFOLOGY MAGAZINE:

[Ref. ufa1:] UFOLOGY BULLETIN "UFOLOGIA":
BEFORE 07 OCTOBER 1954 11 p.m. Cavignac V 4
Witnesses: Mr. and Mrs. TERRIERES. Luminous disc, motionless, which then disappeared at dizzying speed towards LARUSCADE (NE).
(S.O. October 07, 1954)
Note: "V 4" stands for "spacecraft of unknown origin".
This is an "unidentified" to me, but of apparent low strangeness, and with a very meager report.
