According to the ufology magazine Lumières Dans La Nuit of October 1973, the Centre-Matin newspaper for November 6, 1954, reported a sighting in Commentry in the Allier that would have occurred in early November.
Three peacekeepers, including Mr. Franceis, observed during their patrol a flying saucer crossing the sky.

Fast passage of a saucer
The information is far too poor for an assured evaluation; there is no date, no time, no direction, for example.
The "flying saucer" crossing the sky could have been a meteor, for example the meteor seen on November 5, 1954, in the Allier also.
