In the 2000s, an English-language website noted a sighting on October 4, 1954, in "Le Puiset, Centre, France", of an "unidentified object" which was sighted, "but with an appearance and a behavior that most likely would have a conventional explanation."
The website referred to Jacques Vallée's computer catalog as the source.

There is obviously no quality information on this case at the moment; [uda1] dids note the lack of strangeness, not reflected by [ubk1]. It was probably a misinterpretation....
