The national weekly France-Dimanche for October 10, 1954, published a sketch with a caption saying that on September 30, 1954, at 9 p.m., in Vienne, Miss Dupin saw a craft in the shape of a red banana.
The same weekly, on October 24, 1954, republished the case with a similar sketch, speaking of a "craft erected in the sky" which "included a forest of periscopes."
