In their catalog of close encounters of the third kind composed in the end of the 1970s, the American ufologists Ted Bloecher and Walter Webb noted a case which they said came from an unpublished manuscript "Les Humanoïdes en France", by the French ufologists Joël Mesnard and Jean-Marie Bigorne; the latter citing the newspaper La Dépêche for October 8, 1954, as their source.
The narrative says that on September 30, 1954, at 1:30 p.m., near Toulouse, two unidentified witnesses observed two shiny disc-shaped objects suspended near the ground, several meters apart.
Two small men about the size of a 12-year-old were seen approaching each other as if to converse; then they separated, each returning to one of the craft, in which they seemed to "melt". After the entities disappeared into the objects, the latter took off and flew away at very high speed.
The figures appeared to be dressed in aluminum outfits, but no further details were noted, as the witnesses were nearly 400 meters away from the witnesses.
In 1979, in their own catalog, the French ufologists Michel Figuet and Jean-Louis Ruchon indicated for this observation that the weather was stormy, and that Mrs. X, fearing a downpour, went to pick up her laundry, in her garden, behind her home, where the view stretches over a valley to a height overlooked by an old mill.
In a field about a hundred meters from her home, to the left of a small road that leads to the mill, she saw two shiny disc-shaped objects lying on the ground, a few meters from one of the other.
Mrs. X called her husband, and they both observed two little beings tall like 12-year-old children, dressed in clothes shiny like aluminum, who came closer to each other like to converse, and went to their respective craft which they reinstated as if they were merging into it.
Both objects rose and went quickly. The total duration of the sighting was 5 minutes.
Figuet and Ruchon gave the date of the case as September 30 or October 1st, 1954, and indicated La Dépêche for October 8, 1954 and M. Navarro's LDLN file as sources.
The case later appeared in other publications, either in the Bloecher and Webb version, or in the Figuet and Ruchon version, but without additional information.

The two authors indicate that in Toulouse in the Haute-Garonne on September 30, 1954, or October 1, 1954, at 01:30 p.m., the weather being stormy, Mrs. X, fearing a rain shower, took her linen inside. In her garden, behind hers residence, the sight extends over a small valley up to an elevation on which an old mill overhangs. In a field, on the left of a small road which goes up to the mill, she sees two brilliant objects in the shape of discs posed on the ground, at a few meters the one from the other. The field is at a hundred meters of the residence of the witnesses.
Mrs. X calls her husband who also witnesses phenomenon. They observe two small beings tall like twelve years old children and dressed of brilliant clothes as of aluminum who approach one towards the other like exchanging a conversation, and move towards their respective apparatus which they reinstate as if they melted in them.
The two objects take off and disappear fast. The sighting duration was 5 minutes.

Jean Sider indicates that on September 30 or October 1, 1954, at 01:30 p.m. in Toulouse, the Haute-Garonne, the wife of an anonymous couple in the garden saw in a field nearby two brilliant disks posed on the ground.
The called husband observed the same scene.
Two small beings were seen seeming to discuss, they were then entered in their respective craft as if they were melting into the hull, and the two UFOs rose to faint quickly.

In a field, on the left of a small road which leads to the mill, she sees two brilliant objects in the shape of disc posed on the ground, at a few meters one of the other. (The field is at about a hundred meters of the witnesses home.) She calls her husband who also witnesses the phenomenon. She then suddenly saw two dwarfs by the objects. They appeared to be "aluminum men", less than the height of a twelve year old child. They approached one another as if to talk, then went into one of the discs. Both discs took rapidly and disappeared.

The weather being stormy, a Mrs. X., fearing a downpour, was taking her linen inside. In her garden behind her home, she had a view over a valley to a height overhung by an old mill. In a field, to the left of a small road that leads to the mill, she saw two shiny disc-shaped objects lying on the ground, a few meters apart.
She called her husband who also witnessed the phenomenon. They observed two small beings of the height of a 12-year-old child, dressed of "aluminum", who approached each other as if exchanging a conversation, and went to their respective apparatus. They reintegrated it as if they were melting into it. Both objects rose and quickly disappeared.
The author points out that this observation is reported in La Dépêche for Friday, October 8, 1954, where journalists claim that the witnesses are trustworthy. The newspaper does not indicate their name or address, and no investigation has been carried out to his knowledge.

This looks like a case of high strangeness; however the primary source is a newspaper article I did not get yet, and apparently there was no investigation.
Note that one version gives the observation distance as 400 meters, the other gives it as a about a hundred meters.
This would be a possible visit from extraterrestrials, but credibility is not assured.
