In the 1950s, a French archivist, Guy Quincy, interested in the "mysterious celestial objects", compiled a rudimentary catalog of observations; he noted that on October 30, 1954, at 08:20 p.m., there was an observation of three changing luminous circles in Loché (Assé-le-Boisne) in the Sarthe department.
Quincy did not give any sources or any other information about this.
