The British author Harold T. Wilkins reported in his 1954 book "Flying Saucers Uncensored" that in October 1954, the French government meteorological station "in Morvan" saw an oval-shaped craft climbing at 3000 feet high at amazing speed.

The website indicates that on 2 October 1954 there was a sighting in Morvan Mtns, France.
The source is indicated as Hatch, Larry, *U* computer database, Author, Redwood City, 2002.
"Morvan" is not a city but a mountainous region, a low mountain range located in Burgundy-Franche-Comté, on the borders of the departments of Côte-d'Or, Nièvre, Saone-et-Loire and Yonne.
I found no other source for this alleged sighting.
