The regional newspaper L'Est Républicain, on page 3, November 2, 1954, reported that Mrs. Marcel Marchal, residing in the cities of Béchamps, reportedly saw a saucer on October 29, 1954 at 07:15 p.m.
She was "formal about that" and the saucer that was "shaped like a washing device", said Mrs. Marchal to the newspaper, "was moving fast, in the West-North direction."
She had no time to call someone who would confirm her words, because of the rapidity of the passage of the object, and she had been very afraid.
[Ref. ler1:] NEWSPAPER "L'EST REPUBLICAIN":
A person from Béchamp, Mrs. Marcel Marchal, living in the suburbs, is said to have seen a flying saucer Friday night at 07:15 p.m. She is affirmative about that and the saucer "in the shape of a washing basin", Mrs. Marchal told us, moved fast, in the West - North direction.
Mrs. Marchal did not have the time to call someone to confirm her claim, because of the speed of passage of the object, but anyway, she was very scared.
The report is quite poor; this might habe been a meteor, for example.
In 2018, I checked the location. It was probably not the city of Béchamps in the Meurthe-et-Moselle as I initially believed, but the Béchamp plant which was located in Remiremont in the Vosges department until 2007.
