In a section giving news from Ségur, on page 6, the Parisian newspaper intended for Auvergne readers L'Auvergnat de Paris for October 30, 1954, reported that in Ségur, a luminous saucer was reportedly seen "Thursday evening" - therefore on October 28, 1954 - at 8 p.m., by Mrs. widow Desprez and Mrs. Julienne Rathenon. The newspaper said the craft, "which was moving gracefully in an east-west direction, then rose and disappeared."
