In the end of the 1950s, a French archivist, Guy Quincy, interested in the topic of the unidentified flying objects, compiled a catalog of observations; he noted there, without source or details, with a question mark, that there had been an observation in the department of the Jura in France, on October 28, 1954. at 6 p.m., of a "cigar" or of a "sphere of the clouds."
