In 1979, French ufologists Michel Figuet and Jean-Louis Ruchon indicated that in Thenon, in the Dordogne department, according to their personal archive, on September 23, 1954, at 05:00, p.m., a group of sixteen hunters had observed a "saucer" flying at a dizzying speed at the edge of the trees.
In the 2000s, US ufologist Larry Hatch noted the case in his database, stating that it was a hoax.

Evaluation - Hoax
Note: "Gross 1954" was meant to refer to my web page on the case. No link was given, and my page was certainly not just "quoting Figuet and Ruchon 1979 p84". Moreover Peter Rogerson did not credit "his" evaluation.
