In the 2000s, an online ufology database in the USA indicates that on September 23, 1954, at 09:45 p.m. in Brive-la-Gaillarde, an unidentified flying object was observed, but which would probably have an ordinary explanation.
It is said that this comes from a computerized catalog by ufologist Jacques Vallée.
A German online ufology database then gives the same date, time and place, without source, only indicating that the observation was of the "Nocturnal Light(s)" type.

The website indicates that on 23 September 1954 at 21:45 in "Brive.Gaillarde", France "An unidentified object was sighted, but with appearance and behavior that most likely would have a conventional explanation. One object was observed."
The source is indicated as "Vallee, Jacques, Computerized Catalog (N = 3073)".
