In the 2000s, a US Website indicated, as based on a computer catalog of ufologist Jacques Vallée, that on October 23, 1954, at 07:30 p.m., there had been an observation in "Devres-Outreau", France, of an unidentified object "but with appearance and behavior that most likely would have a conventional explanation."
By 2016, a German UFO website noted the sighting without the mention that the object would probably have a conventional explanation.
