In a section giving news of Maussac, on page 5, the Parisian newspaper intended for Auvergne readers L'Auvergnat de Paris for May 1, 1954, reported that a flying saucer crossed the sky of Maussac, on April 23, 1954, around 2:30, "south-west-north direction."

A flying saucer crossed our sky, on the 23rd, at about 2:30, in the direction south-west-north.
