Sci-fi writer and pioneering ufologist Jimmy Guieu had reported the observation by his mother of a spindle-shaped machine over Aix-en-Provence on February 22, 1954 around 7 p.m. Guieu explained that he then made a radio call for additional witnesses without giving the exact hour, and received concordant testimonies from the area.
He indicates that in Fuveau, 13 km in straight line from Aix-en-Provence, that same February 22, 1954, at 07:01 p.m., a cigar-shaped object had been observed in the sky. It had stopped over the city, then resumed its slow and silent flight.

Luc Chastan indicates that in the Bouches du Rhône in Fuveau on February 22, 1954 at 19:01 hours, "a cigar is observed. It immobilizes himself above the city. It then resumes its slow and silent flight."
The source is indicated as "Black-out sur les Soucoupes volantes par Guieu Jimmy ** Fleuve Noir 1956 omnium 1977".

The website indicates that on 22 February 1954 around 1900 in Aix, Fuveau, France, "An unidentified object was sighted, but with appearance and behavior that most likely would have a conventional explanation. One object was observed by several female witnesses (Guieu)."
