In a general catalog of observations of the Gironde written by the Bordeaux section of the CFRU, published in the ufology magazine Ouranos in the fourth quarter of 1973, it is said that according to the newspaper Sud-Ouest of September 22, 1954, the following observation took place:
On September 21, 1954, at 7 o'clock in Talence, J. Olacia saw for a few seconds a disc-shaped luminous object; which "disappeared" at great speed.

Note: "V 1" stands for "bad observations", a report for which it is difficult to rule out a misinterpretation.

The information is totally insufficient, but this might have been a meteor, of course.
The witness, Joachim Olacia, died on December 30, 1965, in Saint-Maicaire, and was buried in Talence.
