In the 1950s, French archivist Guy Quincy, who was interested in flying saucers, compiled an observation catalog.
He noted that around September 21, 1954, at a time unknown to him, in Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne in the Savoy department, there had been a fall of a flaming object.
