In the 1950s, a French archivist, Guy Quincy, interested in the "mysterious celestial objects", compiled a rudimentary catalog of observations; he noted that on October 21, 1954, there had been a "luminous cigar" in Cravant in the Yonne in France.
Quincy did not give any sources or any other information about this.
