Gérard Champetier, of the "Lumières Dans La Nuit" ufology group, investigated this case until 1981. Here is a summary of his report. The witness asked to remain unnamed, I thus note her name as [Mrs. Marie C.]
On October 20, 1954, at about 06:00 P.M., in Gâvres in Morbihan, [Mrs. Marie C.], aged 23, is closing the shutters of her home when she sees a red orange light hovering above the nearby road. Coming from this hovering light, a very powerful pencil of light is directed vertically to the bottom of the roadway.
Five small beings of humanoid shape then appear in the bottom of the light beam and move towards [Mrs. Marie C.]'s home. The house door opens and the humanoids enter the house. [Mrs. Marie C.] stated later that their height were from 1m to 1m20 and that their body was entirely covered with russet-red hairs except for their head which bore a kind of nose "like pigs noses."
The humanoids moved one behind the other and all five made three turns around [Mrs. Marie C.] who was shocked and started to shout. They then slip towards the beam of light where they had appeared in the beginning and disappear therein, the beam also disappears and [Mrs. Marie C.] hears a high pitched whistling sound coming from it. At the time when this whistle was heard, a bottle that [Mrs. Marie C.] held in a hand broke in two on the level of its neck, it will later be noted that the cut was as clear as if it had been made with a saw.
[Mrs. Marie C.]'s husband, during this time, was shopping at the grocer's at just some thirty meters from the encounter's location, and when he heard his wife shouting, he run towards their home but he could not see anything else than his wife almost fainting and deeply shocked.
[Mr. C.] immediately called a doctor, and the MD decided to send [Mrs. Marie C.] to the hospital in Hennebant, where she had a miscarriage, she lost the baby she was carrying since two months.
Since the incident, [Mrs. Marie C.] became extremely distressed with the recurring fear of meeting the five humanoids again, and developed a cardiac disease. The investigator also learned that her mother saw a flying disc of metallic appearance above the church of Ploemeur close to Lorient in 1948.

The author indicates that the witness is Marie C..., 23-year-old at the time, who requested anonymity, and whose sighting was on October 20, 1954 towards 06:00 p.m. in Gâvres in the Morbihan.
She was closing the shutters when she saw an orange red light coming to hover above the very close road, with a very powerful beam of light that went from it down to the roadway. Five small humanoids appeared at the bottom of the beam and moved towards her home. The house door opened and the small beings entered.
They are described as 1 meter to 1 meters 20 tall, with the body entirely covered of russet-red hairs except the head which had a nose "like a pig's" according to the witness.
One behind the others they started to turn around the stunned woman, three times, then they slipped towards the vertical beam of light which disappeared, a high-pitched whistling sound was heard. At this time the bottle the witness held in the hand broke in two on the level of its neck, as if it had been cut with a saw.
The woman had screamed when the beings were in the house and her husband who was shopping at the nearby grocery had heard her cry and ran home but when he arrived there was nothing to see anymore. His wife was unconscious and very shocked. The husband called a doctor who sent her at the hospital of Hennebant where she had a miscarriage of a two month old baby. Since the incident the woman had heart problems and seems to have developed a form of paranoia because she fears to encounter the beings again.
The witness' mother had seen a disc of metallic aspect above the Church of Ploemeur close to Lorient in 1948.
Jean Sider indicates that his source is the investigation by Gerard Champetier completed in 1981 in LDLN 227-228 page 30.
He comments on that such incidents considered separately do not allow any conclusion and that it is perhaps "a psychic materialisation" "perhaps induced in Mrs. C...'s brain, as it would explain why her husband could not see anything" perhaps because this occurs some place that "has nothing to do with our physical space".

Luc Chastan indicates in his database that in Morbihan in Gâvres on October 20, 1954 at 18:00 hours, "a young woman is closing her shutter when she sees an orange red light coming to hover above the very close road. From this light a very powerful beam of light directed vertically to the bottom just on the roadway of the road then emanates. Five small beings of humanoid shape appear then in the bottom of this beam and move towards the witness' home. The door of her house opens and the humanoids enter the house. The woman would say that they have sizes varying between 1m and 1m20 and that their body is entirely covered with russet-red hairs except for their head which has a kind of nose "like that of the pigs." The humanoids move one behind the other and all the five make together three turns around the witness who remains stunned and starts to yell. They then slip by towards the beam of light where they had appeared in the beginning and disappear there, the beam also isappears and the witness hears a high-pitched whistling sound which comes from it. At the time when this whistlins sound is heard, a bottle that the young woman held in the hand breaks in two at the level of her neck, it will be noted later that the cut is as clear as if it had been done with a saw. The husband was shopping during this time at the nearby grocer's just about thirty away meters. When he hears his wife yell, he runs towards his home and discovers his wife almost fainting and very shocked. He called a doctor immediately, and the latter decided to send the young woman to the hospital of Hennebant, where she made a miscarriage, as she was pregnant of a two months old baby. Since the incident, she became extremely distressed by the obsession to face again the five humanoids."

The website adds: "A woman was in her house when suddenly a bright light descends from the sky. A beam of light comes from the light and five small humanoid figures with long hair appear in front of the object and enter her home. They approach the witness and surround her. The witness screams in panic and a loud whistle is heard, a milk bottle inside the house breaks in two. Her husband runs out and finds her in a semi conscious state. She is immediately transported to a local hospital and is diagnosed with cardiac problems."

The author indicates that there was a close encounter of the third kind in Gâvres, the Morbihan, October 20, 1954, around 06:00p.m.:
Mrs. Marie C., who asked for anonymity, 23 years old at the time, was closing her shutters when she saw an orange-red light appearing from a stationary vehicle parked over the nearby road. A very powerful light beam emanated from it and fell vertically straight on the roadway.
Five small humanoids appeared at the bottom of the beam and then moved to the witness's home. The house door opened and the little figures entered the house. Their size was between 1 meter and 1.20 meters, their body was all covered with red hairs except the head endowed with a nose "like that of the pigs", according to the witness own words.
One behind the other, the five little individuals turned three times around Madame C., stunned. Then they spun to the vertical beam of light which disappeared in its turn, and a shrill whistling sound was heard. The witness had started shouting. Her husband who was shopping at the nearby grocery store 30 meters away heard his wife shouting, he ran to his house, but there was nothing to see anymore except his wife who was half unconscious and very shocked.
At the moment of the whistling sound, the bottle that Mr. C. held in his hand broke in half at the neck as if cut with a saw. Mr. C. called a doctor, who sent Mrs C. to the hospital at Hennebont, where she had a miscarriage of a baby of two months. Since this incident, she is a cardiac, and seems to have developed a form of paranoia due to the obsession of seeing the little characters again.

GAVRES (MORBIHAN; FRANCE)
A 23 year old woman was closing her house shutters when her attention was caught by an orange0red light hovering over a nearby field. Coming from this was a sharp thin beam of light descending vertically on to the road. Five small humanoids then seemed to come from the bottom of this beam and then walked to her home. As they entered, the doors opened as if by their own accord. She could now see that these beings were between 1-1.2m tall and were covered all over in russet hair, except for their porcine faces. The creatures circled around the woman but when she shouted out they moved back in to the beam of light, which then disappeared with a high pitched whistle that shattered a bottle she was holding in her hand. Her husband, who had been shopping only 30m away and had seen nothing heard her scream and came home to find her collapsed on the floor. Her two month pregnancy ended in miscarried and she developed heart disease shortly afterwards.
