The French magazine Radar of November 7, 1954, published another big article on the "flying saucers" seen in France in 1954; there was a small photo of three people in a garden, captioned as follows:
The smallest horticulturist in France, Désiré Pétillon, 68, saw at night with 3 friends, in Wattrelos near Roubaix, "a blue disc rushing in the sky..."

The information is obviously totally insufficient; but one can think that it could have been a meteor.
