In the 1970's, a regional catalog of the INFO-OVNI bulletin contained a case of 1954, without more precse date, about an unusual case in Villebret, coming from a "personal investigation" probably by ufologist Jean Giraud.
A Mrs. Piat felt, by a breath and heat, a small ball of fire that rose and passed to her right ear, coming from behind her, before crashing without a trace on a wall a few meters in front of her.
[Ref. ioi2:] MAGAZINE "INFO-OVNI":
028 ../../1954 MA Villebret witness Mrs Piat
The witness felt (breath and heat) a small ball of fire which, according to a rising trajectory passed her near the right ear (coming from behind), before crashing without leaving traces on a wall a few meters ahead of her. ????? (Pers., Xcase not reported in the Allier catalog).
This sounds furiously like a ball lightning phenomenon.
Unfortunately, but not exceptionally, nothing is said about the weather.
(These keywords are only to help queries and are not implying anything.)
Villebret, Allier, ball, fire, small, Piat
