According to the catalog of the American ufologist Larry Hatch in the 2000's, Aimé Michel reported in the English version of his 1958 book that on October 17, 1954, at 08:30 p.m., in Gray, a luminous object was observed for several minutes, changing colors, and leaving at an "amazing speed".

The observation does not appear in the French version ("Mysterieux Objets Célestes") of the source indicated by Larry Hatch [lhh1].
