In their 1979 book, the two ufologists Michel Figuet and Jean-Louis Ruchon reported that, according to their archive, on October 16, 1954, at an unspecified hour in Saint-Léger-sur-Dheune in the Saône-et-Loire department, an observation of a "classic flying saucer" occurred.

The two authors indicate that in Saint-Léger-sur-Dheune in the department of the Saône-et-Loire, on october 16, 1954, at an unspecified time, there was a sighting of "a classic flying saucer."

Luc Chastan indicates that in the Saone et Loire in St Léger sur Dheune on October 16, 1954, at an unknown hour, there was an "Observation of a flying saucer of classical shape."
The source is noted "Ovni, Premier dossier complet... by Figuet M./ Ruchon J.L. ** Alain Lefeuvre pub. 1979".
The information is totally insufficient, not allowing to conclude to the balloon or the meteor seen that day.
