Summary:

In the 2010s, a German UFO database on the Web indicated that on October 16, 1954, in Dieppe, France, there was a "close encounter of the third kind" case at nightfall.

No other information and no sources were given, and to date I found nothing else on this alleged sighting.

Then in 2019 I found in a listing of 1966 by the American Thomas Olsen, a reference that on October 16, 1954, somewhere southeast of Dieppe, there would have been an observation on the N-314, with one witness, and that the source would be page 184 of Aimé Michel's 1954 book "Flying Saucers and the Straight Line Mystery".
