Aimé Michel indicated in his 1958 book on the 1954 French wave, without giving any source, that in Thaon, a village halfway between Caen and Arromanches, 8 km north of Carpiquet, witnesses saw a circular object, luminous and white, on September 15, 1954, at eight o'clock.
