In the 2000s, on the Web, ufologist Luc Chastan indicated that according to the newspaper Le Dauphiné Libéré (date not specified), there was an observation in the Ardàche in Coucouron on the 15th of October 1954 between 8:30 and 10:30, with an indeterminate number of witnesses.
They would have observed an object resembling a shiny sphere. One of the witnesses thought of a balloon and said that around 10:15 two planes flew in the vicinity of the object; which disappeared right after that.
