Summary:

The ufology magazine Ouranos New Series #9, of the 4th quarter of 1973, indicated that according to the newspaper Sud-Ouest for October 19, 1954, there had been an observation on October 15, 1954, in the night in Ambès in the Gironde department:

A Mr. Dourthe reportedly saw six dark craft resembling giant "eggplants" moving noiselessly and "disappearing" after "gliding a few moments at a dizzying pace".

Around 1:00 a.m., the witness, Mr. Dourthe, baker, observed in the sky an enormous "block" the size of a truck weighing several tons. The strange phenomenon was shiny and transparent like glass. After remaining motionless, the huge mass rose very quickly into the sky. (J. Giraud; R. Sansom [sic])

The two authors quote the newspaper "Sud-Ouest" for October 19, 1954, about the case of October 15, 1954 in Ambès in the Gironde:

"A baker, Mr. Dourthe, had in the night of Friday his attention drawn by six dark machines resembling giant eggplants and which moved without noise. After having hovered a few moments they disappeared at a vertiginous pace."

The ufologist indicates that on October 15, 1954, in Ambes, the Gironde, in the night, six craft resembling giant eggplants moved without noise. They disappeared at a vertiginous speed, after having hovered for a little while.

The source is indicated as Figuet/ J.L. Ruchon: "Ovni, premier dossier complet..." - Alain Lefeuvre publisher 1979, p. 171.

She indicates that another version is that in reality "according to OVNI Présence #33/34 Déc. 1985 it would be a 'slow meteor' (sic) seen on the entire France and elsewhere."

Luc Chastan indicates that in Ambès, in the Gironde, on October 15, 1954, at an unknown hour, there was an observation by night of six machines resembling giant eggplants moving without noise, which disappeared after having hovered a while at a vertiginous pace.

The source is indicated as "Ovni, Premier dossier complet... by Figuet M./ Ruchon J.L. ** Alain Lefeuvre publisher 1979."
