The regional newspaper Nice Matin for October 16, 1954, reported that a flying saucer had been observed in the sky of the Midi at the same time from different places, including Roquebrune-Cap-Martin.

The two authors indicate that on October 14, 1954 little after 06:15 p.m. an object was observed in the sky in Roquebrune-Cape-Martin in the department of the Alpes-Maritime.

[Note: the is nothing ambiguous in the place name, clearly given as "Roquebrune-Cap-Martin" in the cited source Jimmy Guieu. It is the webmaster who causes the so-called ambiguity and the double entry (see below) in his catalogue with the correct city name this time and the same source.]
