In their 1979 book "La Grande Peur Martienne" ("The Great Martian Scare"), the "skeptical" ufologists Gérard Barthel and Jacques Brucker indicated that there was an observation on October 14, 1954, at 03:45 a.m., in Belfort.
All they said about it was that "The witness refused to give us any information about his observation."
