October 14, 1954, Aramon, Gard:

Please cite this reference in any correspondence with me regarding this case.

Summary:

Ufologists Michel Figuet and Jean-Louis Ruchon noted in their 1979 catalogue that in Aramon in the department of Gard, on October 14, 1954 at 06:00, p.m., several children saw a "rocket" of elongated form pass by while producing sparkles. Adults confirmed the sighting.

These ufologists noted that all the observations at 6 p.m. that day obviously referred to an object at very high altitude, seen simultaneously from very distant places, which was probably a large meteor according to descriptions.

Just before, that same year 1979, the "skeptical" ufologists Gérard Barthel and Jacques Brucker claimed to have conducted an investigation and that the phenomenon was "small very fast bright spots, very short duration."

The case was later mentioned on the Web, deprived of its explanation.
