French ufologist and author Jean Sider published in the 1990's that an article in the newspaper L'Indépendant, of Château-Gontier for October 23, 1954, told that on October 11, 1954 at 6 a.m., Mr. Chauvin, a farmer of Juzeau, 2km in the east of Méral, saw a luminous ball which went down towards the ground, but which was quickly hidden by the trees and a ground elevation; which prevented him to follow it.
[Ref. jsr1:] JEAN SIDER:
French ufologist and author Jean Sider learned in an article from the newspaper "L'Indépendant de Château Gontier" for October 23, 1954, on page 6, that on October 11, 1954 at 6 o'clock in the morning in Juzeau in the department of the Vienne, Mr. Chauvin, a farmer of Juzeau, 2km in the east of Méral, saw a luminous ball which went down towards the ground, but which was quickly hidden by the trees and a ground elevation, which prevented him to follow it.
[Ref. lcn1:] LUC CHASTAN:
Luc Chastan indicates that in "Cossé le Vivien" in the Mayenne, on October 11, 1954, at 06:00 hours, "at the location Juzeau, a witness observes a luminous ball which goes down towards the ground. It passes behind the trees and a hillock which hides to the witness."
Luc Chastan indicates that the source is "Lumières dans la Nuit."
This is a case of very low strangeness and lacking information, since it could have been an airplane, a meteor, a star...
