In the 1990s, the ufologist and author Jean Sider told, from an article in the newspaper La République, of Belfort, for October 26, 1954, that on October 11, 1954, at 06:45 p.m., between Bremondans and Baume-les-Dames in the Doubs department, plowing horses were frightened by "a cigar-shaped saucer" (sic); which was 20 meters away from them. The witnesses were M. Cassard and P. Voirin.
In his 2014 book, Julien Gonzalez gave these additional details: M. Cassard and P. Voirin were plowing a field when they saw a cigar-shaped saucer of yellowish and bluish color.
And: "A character appeared and disappeared after two minutes."

Some very interesting cases of UFO encounters made on our land in France during the famous "wave" of 1954, sometimes with entities, and witness paralysis, often with exotic "vehicles" which seem in difficulty, or suffering anomalies!
[... other case ...]
At 6:45 pm, in Bremondans in the Doubs, two farmers plowing a field saw a yellowish and bluish cigar-shaped object. The horses were frightened when they saw this phenomenon about 20 m away from them. A character seemed to appear only to disappear after two minutes.
[... other case ...]
This incredible day of November 11, 1954 in France, finally appears banal in terms of UFO appearances, and in comparison to the other days of this famous UFO wave over France in 1954, as we will see in more other subjects that we will deal with on a daily basis!

*Oct. 11, 1954 - At 6:40 p.m. horses panicked and ran when a bluish yellow saucer approached them to within 20 meters in Bremondans, Doubs, France. A figure was seen for two minutes. (Source: Larry Hatch, U computer database, case # 3872, citing Jean Sider, Dossier 1954 et l'Imposture Rationaliste, p. 196).
Sider [jsr1] gave the time as 06:45 p.m., all the other source said it was at 06:40 p.m.
Bremondans is a hamlet about 12 kilometers South of Baume-les-Dames.
The information is quite insufficient; it was apparently only a short story of the press, without investigation.
In particular, nothing is said about the "character" who "appeared and disappeared after two minutes."
(These keywords are only to help queries and are not implying anything.)
Bremondans, Baume-les-Dames, Doubs, cigar, horses, animals, fear, effects, close, occupant
