A general catalog of the observations of the Gironde by the Bordeaux section of the C.F.R.U. published in the UFO magazine Ouranos, France, New Series #9, in the 4th quarter of 1973, reported that according to the newspaper Sud-Ouest for October 13, 1954, there was a sighting on October 10, 1954, in the evening, in Saint-Macaire.
Misses Faure and Dejean, and a Mr. Doucet, on the terrace of the castle of Tardes, reportedly saw three round objects, giving off a silvery white glow, heading towards Saint-Pierre-d'Aurillac.
