In the 2010s, a German-speaking UFO sighting database on the Web indicates a "Nocturnal Light(s)" sighting at "St. Laurent Madel" on October 10, 1954.

[ubk1] often truncates "too long" place names; here, I interpret "St. Laurent Madel" as being certainly "St. Laurent Madeleine." There is indeed no place or city named "St. Laurent Madel" in France to my knowledge.
But there is indeed a "La Madeleine - Saint-Laurent": it is a district of the city of Orléans. And [ubk1] has more than once registered a district name as location name rather than the city where that district is located.
For the moment I have found nothing else on an observation in Orleans on October 10, 1954, or even at another date in Orleans in 1954. But my experience with this source [ubk1] has often shown me that the database record does indeed correspond to a case, which I often end up finding in the Press of the time.
It is therefore possible that there was an observation of the "Nocturnal Light(s)" type in the La Madeleine - Saint-Laurent district in Orléans on October 10, 1954.
As to what was observed... I need to find more information.
